My Platform

Core priorities
Building a Stronger, More Sustainable Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay is a city with incredible potential. We have hardworking people, thriving businesses, beautiful natural surroundings, and strong community values. As Mayor, my commitment is to provide practical leadership that brings people together, strengthens our local economy, improves quality of life, and creates opportunities for future generations. Our campaign is built on four guiding pillars: Leadership, Affordability, Sustainability, and Security. Every priority within this platform supports one or more of these commitments.

1. LEADERSHIP
Leading with Integrity. Listening with Purpose.

Strong leadership is about bringing people together to solve problems and make decisions that reflect our community's needs. Thunder Bay deserves a municipal government that is transparent, accountable, and focused on delivering results. As Mayor, I will work collaboratively with residents, businesses, Indigenous communities, community organizations, and all levels of government to ensure every decision is guided by what is best for our city.

Leadership also means creating an environment where ideas are welcomed, concerns are heard, and residents have confidence that City Hall is working for them. By improving communication, encouraging public participation, and making responsible financial decisions, we can restore trust and move Thunder Bay forward together.

Supporting Priorities

Leadership is demonstrated through responsible governance, open communication, fiscal accountability, meaningful public engagement, stronger partnerships, and a commitment to making decisions that benefit the entire community.

2. AFFORDABILITY
Creating Opportunity. Supporting Families.

The rising cost of living continues to affect families, seniors, students, and local businesses. Building a stronger economy begins with creating opportunities for people to work, invest, and succeed in Thunder Bay. My focus will be on supporting local businesses, encouraging entrepreneurship, attracting new investment, and creating an environment where employers can grow and create meaningful jobs.
Economic growth should benefit everyone. By encouraging business development, supporting skilled trades, expanding opportunities for young professionals, and promoting local innovation, we can strengthen our economy while helping residents build secure and
prosperous lives.

Affordability is not only about reducing costs, it is about increasing opportunity, creating stable employment, and ensuring that Thunder Bay remains an attractive place to live, work, and raise a family.

3. SUSTAINABILITY
Building Today for Tomorrow.

Sustainability means planning for the future while meeting the needs of today. It means building communities that are financially responsible, environmentally conscious, and prepared for long-term growth. Every investment made today should strengthen our city for
future generations.

My administration will support responsible housing development, improve roads and public infrastructure, invest in parks and public spaces, and encourage sustainable community growth that enhances quality of life. We must continue to build a city where families can afford to live, businesses can expand, and neighbourhoods remain vibrant and connected.

Young people should see Thunder Bay as a place where they can build successful careers, purchase homes, raise families, and contribute to a thriving community. Sustainable growth means creating opportunities that encourage our youth to stay, our businesses to invest, and new residents to choose Thunder Bay as their home.

4.SECURITY
Safe Communities. Strong Neighborhoods.

Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home, workplace, and neighbourhood. Community safety is about more than emergency response, it is about creating communities where people feel connected, supported, and confident in their future.

I believe in strengthening partnerships between residents, emergency services, community organizations, and local agencies to improve safety across our city. Investing in youth programs, recreation, neighbourhood development, and community-based initiatives helps address challenges before they become larger problems.

Security also means building resilience through emergency preparedness, supporting mental health partnerships, improving public spaces, and ensuring our city remains welcoming for families, seniors, businesses, and visitors alike. A safer Thunder Bay is built through collaboration, prevention, and shared responsibility.

Supporting Priorities

a. Youth Development

Young people represent the future of Thunder Bay, and they deserve opportunities that allow them to build successful lives without leaving the community they call home. By expanding employment opportunities, supporting skilled trades and entrepreneurship, investing in recreation, and encouraging leadership development, we can create a city where young people choose to stay, contribute, and thrive.

b. Economic Growth and Job Creation

A strong local economy provides opportunities for every resident. By supporting local businesses, attracting investment, encouraging innovation, and working with educational institutions and industry partners, we can create quality jobs that strengthen families and
build long-term prosperity throughout our community.

c. Housing

Every resident should have access to safe and attainable housing. Through responsible planning, collaboration with housing partners, and policies that encourage diverse housing options, we can support growing families, seniors, students, and newcomers while building stronger neighborhoods across Thunder Bay.

d. Infrastructure

Reliable infrastructure supports economic growth and improves everyday life. Maintaining roads, sidewalks, transit, public facilities, parks, and community spaces ensures residents and businesses have the services they need while preparing
Thunder Bay for future growth.

e. Supporting Local Business

Small businesses are the backbone of Thunder Bay's economy. They create jobs, invest in our neighborhoods, and strengthen our community. By reducing barriers, encouraging entrepreneurship, and promoting local investment, we can help businesses succeed and
create more opportunities for residents.

Campaign Closing Statement
Together, we can build a Thunder Bay that is stronger, more affordable, more sustainable, and more secure. This campaign is about listening to residents, making practical decisions, and creating opportunities that benefit everyone. By working together, we can build a city where families
prosper, businesses grow, young people see a future, and every neighbourhood has the opportunity to thrive.

Let's build a sustainable future for Thunder Bay, together.
